How might Puritan teachings have led some women to seek greater liberties?

Early Puritans favored family, democracy and education. While these concepts still permeate American society today, it wasn't until the slavery abolition movements before the Civil War that American women started to seek more freedom and this had nothing to do with the Puritans. It was the Progressive Era that sparked women's suffrage, not puritan teachings
