Difference between Pilgrims/Puritans?

From the source I am reading, it sounds like the difference is that the Pilgrims were the ones who arrived in America and created Plymouth to live the old english way of life, while the Puritans were settlers who came about a decade later who also possessed strong spiritual beliefs. Right or wrong?
