Barbecue/grilling tips for one person?

I'm a certified bachelor, not interested in entertaining or having people over. Yet Summer is here and I'm missing some bbq action. Any ideas on making this work for just a single guy? It just seems like a lot of time and effort prepping a grill and heating up some coals just to make dinner for one. I'm not into a little gas fired grill. Your advice?
