Causes of the salem witch trials?

I am writing an essay for american history on the causes of the Salem witch trials, i already have Puritan theocracy as a major cause but i'm wondering if there were more than just the one cause, I have read some articles on the trials but i'm wondering if there is more than just Puritan theocracy? I am out of ideas and was wondering if anyone else had some ideas that i could use. Any suggestions are welcome,
